Construction of two elevated Muni stops on 19th Avenue in front of SF State and Stonestown Mall to replace street level stops. New stops include optimized handicap access and weather protection features such as wind baffles and roofing.
Emergency sewer repair in Chinatown to stabilize and fill 6-foot deep, block-long sink hole. Included vehicle removal, reconstruction of sewer and water lines, fill, re-grade and resurface street.
Repair and siesmic upgrade of Hetch Hetchy Moccasin Penstock anchor to halt pipeline shift. This project near Yosemite was completed on difficult terrain in a wilderness setting and included blasting of existing concrete anchor, construction of new embedded support and re-encapsulation.
Construction of a 40,000 gallon emergency water supply reservoir to service entire UCSF Parnassus facility. Included replacing dry stand with wet stand service, 14-inch thick walls and all pipe work including supply lines inside UCSF facility. Job was completed working carefully on steep grade above traffic and hospital.
Installed sidewalks, constructed stairways from one street level to another and improved roadways to upgrade from one-way to bi-directional traffic. A particular challenge met in this project involved coordination of efforts with PG&E's upgrade of gas and electric lines at minimum interruption to Bernal Heights neighborhood.
Construction of an animal sewage treatment facility including underground lift station to route waste from UCSF Zoological Gardens to main box of area sewage treatment plant. Required working two stories below sea level and precise pipe jacking 180 feet across Sloat Avenue and Great Highway. Also constructed an emergency generator building.
Dangerous project in Hetch Hetchy emergency spillway tunnel system, five locations near Yosemite in difficult wilderness terrain. Involved blasting out existing tunnels, installing new tunnel walls, installing steel door-valves in tunnels and road building to each site.
Finish out of maintenance and repair facility for People Mover train at San Francisco International Airport. Also store front construction in People Mover stops and finish out of power distribution stations. |
